Mr. Smiley is a corporate spokesperson blessed with a fixed grin, an endearing laughter, and a total moral vacuum in the benighted pit where a normal person would have a soul - or at least have a tendency to hesitate before plunging head-first into murder, hiring people to commit murder, or generally just stabbing people in the back if they're in his way.
